JetBlue to Launch Boston-Salt Lake City, Fort Lauderdale-San Diego Routes

IMGP4661JetBlue Airways announced it plans to launch two new daily transcontinental routes this year. The carrier will begin Boston-Salt Lake City service on May 12, followed by service between Fort Lauderdale and San Diego on June 16.

Flights from Boston’s Logan International Airport are scheduled to depart at 7:46 p.m. and arrive at Salt Lake City International Airport at 11:08 p.m. From Salt Lake City, flights will depart at 11:59 p.m. and arrive back in Boston at 6:39 a.m. the next morning.

From Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, flights will depart at 5:25 p.m. and arrive at San Diego International Airport at 7:32 p.m. Flights from San Diego to Fort Lauderdale will depart at 10:15 p.m. and arrive in Fort Lauderdale at 6:19 a.m. the next day.

JetBlue will operate both new routes using Airbus A320 aircraft, equipped with 42 seats in Even More Space, the airline’s premium economy lite section, and 108 seats in coach.  Premium economy lite-seats are 17.8” wide, and have a pitch of 38” to 39”.

Boston will be JetBlue’s fourth non-stop destination from Salt Lake City, while Fort Lauderdale will be the airline’s third non-stop destination from San Diego. Additionally, the carrier’s San Diego-Fort Lauderdale flights will be the only non-stop service between the two cities.
