United to Offer New Free Snacks on Flights Starting Next Year
United Airlines announced that it will begin offering new complimentary in-flight snacks in economy class on flights within North and Latin America in February 2016.
On flights departing before 9:45 a.m., the carrier will serve a morning stroopwafel, a Dutch, caramel-filled waffle. On flights departing after 9:45 a.m., passengers will receive packaged snacks such as Asian-style snack mix of rice crackers, sesame sticks, and wasabi peas, as well as a zesty-ranch mix of mini pretzel sticks, Cajun corn sticks, and ranch soy nuts.
Passengers will also still have the option to purchase food from United’s Choice Menu while in flight.
United also expanded the availability of complimentary meals, beer, and wine to more Latin America flights this month.
