Starwood announced that it plans to open a dual-branded Aloft and Element hotel in Redmond, Washington in July 2017. The Aloft Redmond and Element Redmond will be situated outside the campus for Microsoft Corporation’s world headquarters, approximately 15 miles (24 kilometers) east of Seattle.

The hotels will be located within Esterra Park, a campus-style development with 1.2 million square feet (111,483 square meters) of office space, as well as 1,400 residential units and a light rail station scheduled to open in 2023.

The Aloft Redmond will offer 150 guestrooms, as well as the brand’s signature W XYZ bar. The property will also have a grab and go food and beverage area.

The Element Redmond will provide 131 guestrooms, all with fully equipped kitchens and what Starwood calls “spa-inspired bathrooms.” The hotel will also offer guests access to complimentary bicycles to explore the area.

The hotels will share a courtyard, as well as 6,500 square feet (693 square meters) of meeting and event space, an outdoor pool, and a fitness center.
