JetBlue Reports Increase in Traffic, Load Factor for September

JetBlue Airways announced operational results for September 2015. The carrier saw an increase in its total traffic and capacity, with a decrease in its load factor.
The New York-based airline’s passenger traffic for the month was 3.097 billion revenue passenger miles, or RPMs, a year-over-year increase of 13.3% from 2.735 billion RPMs in September of last year.
The carrier’s capacity also increased, up 13.1% to 3.822 billion available seat miles, or ASMs, from 3.38 billion ASMs in September 2014.
JetBlue’s passenger load factor for the month was 81.1%, a 0.2 percentage point increase from 80.9% in the same month last year.
