Frankfurt Airport Sees New Daily Passenger Record in August

Fraport AG, the owner and operator of Frankfurt Airport, announced traffic figures for August 2015.
The airport’s passenger traffic for the month increased 3.2% year-over-year. Additionally, the airport registered a new daily passenger record on August 2, with approximately 217,500 passengers passing through the facility.
Aircraft movements at the airport were up by 0.2% to 42,787 takeoffs and landings.
The airport also reported a rise in maximum takeoff weight, with an increase of 2% to more than 2.7 metric tons.
Cargo at Frankfurt Airport, which includes air freight as well as airmail, decreased by 4.2%, down to 172,055 metric tons.
