Japan Airlines announced it will begin new service between Tokyo Narita and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport on November 30.  The flights will be operated as a codeshare with American Airlines.

JAL will operate the service four times a week, using Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft.

The carrier’s 787-8s that will be used on the route are outfitted with 38 suites in business class, 35 seats in premium economy, and 88 seats in economy.  Seats in business class are 25.5” wide, and have a bed length of 74”.

Japan Airlines said that it will potentially increase the service to daily flights beginning next spring.

In addition to the new service, American currently offers twice daily flights between the two cities with Boeing 777-200 planes.
