DSC_0276 (1)American Airways, in partnership with Cuba Travel Services, announced that new non-stop service between Los Angeles and Havana will begin later this year.  The route will be the first non-stop between the West Coast and Cuba since travel restrictions were eased.

The flights between Los Angeles International Airport and José Martí International Airport will operate one day per week –  on Saturdays – using Boeing 737 aircraft.

In addition to the Los Angeles-Havana route, American plans to offer Saturday flights between Miami International Airport and Havana.

Cuba Travel Services currently offers weekly non-stop charter flights between the United States and the Cuban cities of Havana, Cienfuegos, Camaguey, Santa Clara, and Santiago de Cuba. The charter operator provides service through flights operated by American Airlines and Sun Country Airlines.
