Xiamen Airlines Begins Xiamen-Amsterdam Flights

Route will be Carrier’s First Intercontinental Service

DSC_0890Xiamen Airlines announced the launch of new service between Xiamen and Amsterdam, the carrier’s first intercontinental route.  The airline will operate the service three days a week, using Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

Flights will depart Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport in Southeast China at 11:50 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, arriving at Amsterdam Schiphol at 5:45 a.m. the next day.  From Amsterdam, flights are scheduled to depart at 12:35 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and arrive in Xiamen at 5:30 a.m.

Xiamen Airlines’ 787 Dreamliners are equipped with four lie-flat seats in first class, 18 lie-flat seats in business class, and 214 seats in economy class.  First-class seats are 26” wide and have a bed length of 77”.

Along with Xiamen Airlines’ new route, KLM, a codeshare partner of Xiamen, currently offers three weekly flights between Amsterdam and Xiamen.
