Frontier Airlines Places Order for 12 Airbus A320 Family Aircraft

Frontier Airlines announced that it placed an order for 10 Airbus A321ceo and two A320ceo aircraft. The ceo designation indicates the “current engine option” model of the planes.
The order for the 12 aircraft is valued at $1.3 billion at list prices.
The single-aisle planes feature sharklet wing tip devices and will be up to 4% more fuel efficient than current jets. They also have their range extended by up to 100 nautical miles (185 kilometers).
Frontier Airlines currently operates a fleet of 35 A319ceo and 22 A320ceo aircraft.
To date, Airbus has had approximately 11,700 orders for the A320 family, from over 400 customers worldwide.
