JetBlue and Cuba Travel Services to Offer JFK-Havana Route

Cuba Travel Services announced that it plans to launch a new charter flight to Cuba from New York on July 3.  The service between John F. Kennedy International Airport and José Martí International Airport International Airport in Havana will be operated by JetBlue Airways, and will be offered once a week.

Flights will depart New York at noon on Fridays and arrive in Havana at 3:30 p.m.  Flights from Havana to New York will depart at 4:30 p.m., also on Fridays, and arrive at 8:00 p.m.

JetBlue will operate the service using Airbus A320 aircraft, configured with 42 seats in Even More Space, the airline’s premium economy lite section, and 108 seats in coach.  Premium economy lite-seats are 17.8” wide, and have a pitch of 38” to 39”.

Cuba Travel Services currently offers weekly nonstop charter flights between the United States and the Cuban cities of Havana, Cienfuegos, Camaguey, Santa Clara, and Santiago de Cuba. The charter operator provides service through flights operated by American Airlines and Sun Country Airlines.

The route will be JetBlue’s fifth weekly round trip service to Cuba.
