Alaska Airlines to Begin Seattle-JFK Route
Alaska Airlines announced that it plans to launch new daily service between Seattle and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport on September 16 this year. The carrier will operate the service using Boeing 737 Next Generation aircraft.
Flights will depart Seattle at 9:35 p.m. and arrive in New York at 6:00 a.m. the following day. From New York, flights will depart at 7:15 a.m. and will arrive in Seattle at 10:15 a.m.
The route will be the carrier’s second to the New York area, after its service to Newark Liberty.
In celebration of the new service, Alaska is offering one-way fares starting at $149 for tickets purchased by March 16, for travel by November 18. In addition, the airline is offering double miles on flights between Seattle and JFK for members of its Mileage Plan loyalty program, on flights between September 16 and October 28.
