New Helicopter Service to Link Manhattan to JFK, Newark Airports
Gotham Air, a new helicopter service, announced the start of operations on Tuesday.
The company offers daily helicopter flights from any one of three Manhattan heliports to New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Newark Liberty Airport.
Gotham Air partnered with Helicopter Flight Services, and will operate flights using helicopters from its fleet, including seven Bell 407s, one Bell 427, and one Sirkorsky S76 C+.
Gotham Air provides complimentary hors d’oeuvres, as well as beverages on afternoon flights.
Gotham also provides an inclement weather guarantee: in the event of high winds, Gotham will pick passengers up at their homes or offices and transport them to the airport in Tesla S vehicles.
Gotham is offering a special introductory price of $99 for the first trip, and between $199 and $219 after the first flight, depending on departure time. Flights can be booked by going to Gotham Air’s website.
