Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport is planning a sweeping overhaul of its restaurants, shops, and services in its international terminal.

Terminal D is currently home to Aeromexico, American Airlines, Avianca, British Airways, Etihad, Emirates, KLM, Korean Air, Lufthansa, and Qantas, among others.

The airport said it was looking for “high-end retailers, restaurants and services” including duty free stores, experiential bars, and Mediterranean and Italian restaurants and has issued a Request for Proposal to solicit bids from potential partners.

Terminal D first opened in 2005 and has remained largely unchanged in terms of its amenities since then.  The airport itself set a record for passengers in 2014, with 62.9 million passing through the airport.

The airport wants to offer passengers “new and exciting choices to eat, shop and relax,” according to Ken Buchanan, its executive vice president of revenue management, who added that it wants to “enhance our customer experience even more with new concepts.”
