DSC_0087All Nippon Airways announced the launch of its new smartphone app, ANA Takeoff Mode. The airline says that the main purpose of the app iss to relax flyers during takeoff.

A survey done by ANA found that 68% of U.S airline passengers feel that the most stressful part of flying is the takeoff.

The ANA Takeoff Mode allows users to move a ball around on a puzzle in order to collect points. The app measures the amplitude and frequency response of noise inside the aircraft cabin.

When the aircraft starts to take off, the app activates a special animation and message for users. The app also plays what the airline said is “relaxing music” in the background.
