All Nippon Airways Launches Smartphone App
All Nippon Airways announced the launch of its new smartphone app, ANA Takeoff Mode. The airline says that the main purpose of the app iss to relax flyers during takeoff.
A survey done by ANA found that 68% of U.S airline passengers feel that the most stressful part of flying is the takeoff.
The ANA Takeoff Mode allows users to move a ball around on a puzzle in order to collect points. The app measures the amplitude and frequency response of noise inside the aircraft cabin.
When the aircraft starts to take off, the app activates a special animation and message for users. The app also plays what the airline said is “relaxing music” in the background.
