Hyatt announced it will open a new property in Midtown Manhattan this October.  The Hyatt Herald Square New York will be located in the Herald Square neighborhood of the city, between Fifth Avenue and Broadway.

The hotel’s lobby will have separate areas with different themes, including a lounge designed like a library, an espresso bar, a shop offering snacks, a work area with tables for writing, a dedicated concierge desk, and a bar with separate dining space.  The entire lobby will be decorated with artwork from nine local artists.

Each of the property’s 122 rooms will have hardwood floors, while furniture will have touches of hot pink.  Rooms will also have letterpress blocks with a quote from a famous fashion designer, inspired by the nearby fashion district.

The property will have a rooftop lounge, Up on 20, which will serve cocktails and small plates, while the hotel’s lobby bar and restaurant, the Den, will have a seasonal menu with dishes served in three different sizes – large, light, and even lighter bites.  In addition, the property’s coffee bar, Espresso, will feature specialty drinks and pastries from local bakeries.
