DSC_0264Frontier Airlines announced multiple changes to its EarlyReturns frequent flyer program.

The airline is doing away with its Ascent and Summit elite tiers and creating one single elite status, Frontier Elite.  The change goes into effect February 20, 2015.

Frontier Elite benefits include priority check-in, boarding, and security lanes, the ability to select a seat in advance of checking in, access to Stretch extra-legroom seating at check-in time, one carry-on bag without any charge, and membership in the Discount Den fee reduction program through June 2015.

Other benefits include the ability to redeem miles for any available seat, a fee waiver on flight bookings made by phone, free same day standby, a waiver of the same day confirmed fee, and a waiver of the unaccompanied minor fee.

Frontier said it is eliminating several benefits from the outgoing elite status tiers including free checked bags, no change fees, and the ability to get advance seat assignments for Stretch extra-legroom seating when booking a flight.
