United Airlines announced it will begin new daily, non-stop service between San Francisco and Tokyo Haneda on October 26.  The service will operate using Boeing 777 aircraft.

Flights will depart San Francisco International Airport at 6:35 p.m. and arrive at Tokyo Haneda at 10:05 p.m. the next day.  Flights from Tokyo to San Francisco will depart at 12:05 a.m. and arrive at 5:15 p.m. the previous day.

United’s Boeing 777 aircraft that will be used to operate the service are outfitted with eight suites in first class, 40 seats in business class, and 221 seats in economy class, 104 of which are United Economy Plus.  Suites in first class have lie-flat seats that are 22” wide, and have a bed length of 78”.

United currently offers twice-daily service between San Francisco and Tokyo’s Narita International Airport.  However, once the San Francisco-Tokyo Haneda service begins, the airline will reduce its San Francisco-Tokyo Narita service to once daily.
