Marmara Park Avenue Hotel to Open in Manhattan

The Marmara Collection hotel group announced it will open a new Marmara brand property in New York City this August. The new hotel, called the Marmara Park Avenue, will be located in midtown Manhattan, and will be the company’s seventh property worldwide.

The hotel will have 128 guestrooms and suites, including three penthouse suites. Each room will be equipped with iPad Air tablets that guests may use to access 24-hour virtual concierge service, and 40 rooms will also have a private terrace.

In addition to traditional guestrooms and suites, the hotel will offer a grand three-bedroom duplex and apartment-style accommodations with fully equipped kitchens for extended-stay guests. The property will also house a pool, fitness center, and steam bath, as well as 1,375 square feet (128 square meters) of private event space that can be divided into two rooms.

The hotel will be located within walking distance of the Empire State Building, Grand Central Station, and various shopping and dining venues in midtown Manhattan.

The Marmara Collection hotel group was founded in 1978 in Istanbul, and currently operates six luxury hotels worldwide, five of which are in Turkey. The Marmara Park Avenue will be the hotelier’s second property in New York, as well as its second property outside of Turkey, after the Marmara Manhattan, which opened in 1989.
