Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem Opens in Israel

Hilton announced the opening of a new Waldorf Astoria property in Jerusalem. The Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem is located near the walls of the Old City and the Jaffa Gate, as well as Independence Park and Mamilla, the city’s upscale shopping center.

The ten-story hotel has 226 guestrooms and suites. In addition, the property hosts two restaurants and a bar.

The hotel is also expected to open a spa next year, which will include two indoor pools, two fitness centers, and two saunas. Event space includes nine meeting rooms and a ballroom that can seat up to 800 guests.

The hotel occupies the former site of the Palace Hotel, which closed in 1935. The Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem retains the stone façade of the original property.
