The Lobby Bar – An Irreverent Weekly Summary of Frequent Business Traveler News and Views

Lost in Time and Space.  Jonathan Spira uses Jesse’s time travel machine after checking into the Hotel Bristol in Warsaw and finds himself playing the piano with Ignacy Jan Paderewski, who immediately proclaims him to be the next Sergei Rachmaninoff … oh never mind, it was just a dream anyway.

Roman Holiday. Jeremy Del Nero spends a week hanging out with Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn in the Italian capital and ends up showing Hepburn around the town.  Apparently Del Nero was up for an Oscar but it was mistakenly handed out to someone named De Niro at the ceremony.

That’d Be 10 Pounds, Liz.  The U.K. government announced it will lower the wildly unpopular air departure tax. In other news, the Queen can finally afford to move back to London after conducting most of her engagements from Monaco for the past eight years.

This Lobby Bar included attempts at humor from Jonathan Spira, Karin Sun, and Paul Riegler.
