United Airlines launched a new version of its mobile app specifically designed for Apple’s iOS7 mobile operating system.  The appearance matches iOS7’s new flat user interface and features a customizable home screen.

The new app stores mobile boarding passes, MileagePlus cards, and United Club cards under its new Travel Cards section.  Additionally, United’s Travel Wallet provides easy access to important and relevant information, such as upcoming reservations and flight status notifications.

The new app makes viewing seat maps, purchasing travel options and booking award travel on multiple segments all more accessible.  Users can also book and check in for flights, track a flight’s status or view MileagePlus information more easily.

While the new app is optimized for iPhones running iOS7, it is fully functional on iPads and other devices running earlier versions of Apple’s mobile operating system.

United also announced it will launch an updated app for Android’s new KitKat operating system in the coming months.
