The Renaissance Washington, DC Downtown Hotel announced it has completed a $30 million redesign of its 807 guestrooms and suites.  The redesign seeks to capture the classical American fashion and look.

Each room sports a palette of khaki and cocoa browns, interspersed with red and denim blue.  Decorating the walls is artwork with Washington, D.C. themes, including presidential profiles, signatures, and the original design plans of the city.

Room amenities include mini-fridges, iPod docking stations, and 40-inch HD TVs.  The headboards offer LED reading lights, as well as convenient power outlets.

The rooms also have modern furniture, including leather lounge and desk chairs.  The bathrooms feature rainforest shower heads, backlit mirrors, and accent wall coverings depicting historic Washington, D.C. events from 1940 to 1970.
