Marriott announced the opening of the JW Marriott Marquis Dubai.  At 72 stories and just 85 feet (26 meters) shorter than the Empire State Building, the property is the world’s tallest hotel.

The hotel has two towers and 804 rooms, 120 of which are suites. All rooms have 46-inch LCD TVs, high-speed wireless Internet, and rainhead showers in the bathrooms.  There are also two penthouse suites.

The property has nine restaurants and five bars, including Izakaya, a sushi eatery, Vault, a cocktail bar, and Prime 68, a steakhouse.  The hotel features over 80,729 square feet (7,500 square meters) of meeting and event space, including two ballrooms.

There is a 43,055 square foot (4,000 square meter) spa and health club which offers treatments such as the Signature Milk and Honey treatment and Lemon Mint Body Polish.  The hotel also has a pool on the seventh floor, with the Aqua Poolside Bar and Grill alongside it.
