Ritz-Carlton, Tianjin to Open in China Mid-Year
The Ritz-Carlton, Tianjin will open in China in mid-2013. Located by the Haihe River, just a thirty-minute train ride from Beijing, Tianjin is one of China’s five national central cities. Tianjin literally means Emperor’s Port and has a long history as a key trading port.
The hotel will have 277 rooms, with 53 suites. There will also be four restaurants and bars located on the property, including the hotel’s signature restaurant, which will offer Cantonese cuisine and ten private dining rooms.
The hotel’s Lobby Lounge will offer classic English afternoon tea service with a selection of Chinese and British teas, as well all-day dining with live cooking stations, featuring Japanese, Chinese, and Italian cuisine. The Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge will offer club and suite guests a boutique bar and residential kitchen, as well as a grand fireplace room, a library, and separate game and entertainment areas.
Located on the mezzanine level, Flair Bar will offer nightly music, a tapas bar, a whiskey bar, and a cigar cellar.
The Ritz-Carlton, Tianjin will also have 17,491 square feet (1,625 square meters) of meeting and event space, including one of the city’s largest ballrooms. Other amenities will include an indoor pool as well as fitness and spa facilities.
