US Airways, South African Airways Sign Codeshare Agreement

US Airways and South African Airways have signed a codeshare agreement. Under the agreement, passengers of both airlines will be able to travel to destinations in both the United States and South Africa with a single ticket.
US Airways customers will have access to South African Airways’ hub in Johannesburg, as well as connections to Cape Town, Durban, East London, and Port Elizabeth, South Africa. In addition, pending final government approval, customers aboard the airline will be able to fly to Dakar, Senegal, via South African Airways’ Washington Dulles-Johannesburg route.
Customers of South African Airways will be able to access various destinations in the United States, including the US Airways hubs of Philadelphia, Phoenix, and Charlotte, North Carolina. Both US Airways and South African Airways customers will have the ability to earn and redeem miles onboard the codeshare flights through the airlines’ frequent flyer programs.
