US Airways Signs Codeshare with Avianca, Expands Codeshare with TACA

US Airways has signed a codeshare agreement with Avianca, the flag carrier of Colombia.

Under the new agreement, US Airways customers will be able to connect to the Colombian cities of Bogota, Medellin, Cartegena, Cali, and Barranquilla via Avianca. Additionally, Avianca customers traveling on US Airways in these cities will be able to connect to Charlotte, North Caroline, Philadelphia, Phoenix, and Washington’s Reagan National Airport. Tickets are now available for purchase, for travel beginning January 7, 2013.

US Airways also announced it has expanded its existing codeshare with TACA, the flag carrier of El Salvador. The agreement will enable customers to connect to San Salvador, El Salvador and Guatemala City, Guatemala. In addition, TACA customers will now be able to connect to US Airways’hub cities of Philadelphia, Phoenix, and Charlotte, North Carolina.
