Starwood to Open Four New Aloft Properties in Latin America

Starwood has announced it will open four new Aloft hotels in Latin America.  Aloft Panama will open in 2013, Aloft Merida in Mexico and Aloft Asuncion of Paraguay are set to debut in 2014, and Aloft Montevideo in Uruguay is expected to open in 2015.

Aloft Panama will be located in Panama City, 15 minutes from the Tocumen International Airport.  Being built in two phases, the hotel will have 126 rooms open in 2013, and 186 rooms open in 2015.

Aloft Merida will be Starwood’s eighth property in Mexico, located in San Antonio.  The hotel will include 136 rooms and 530 square feet of meeting space.

Located in the capital of Paraguay, Aloft Asuncion will include 120 rooms and 614 square feet of meeting space.  It will also be situated near the Word Trade Center, a real estate complex that includes corporate offices, entertainment options, and food outlets.

Aloft Montevideo will be located in the center of the city’s business center.  The property will include 100 rooms, along with 2,267 square feet of meeting and event space.
