New Tropicana Las Vegas to Become a DoubleTree by Hilton
Hilton announced that the new Tropicana Las Vegas will become a DoubleTree by Hilton property starting in January 2013. The new hotel will mark Hilton’s return to the Las Vegas strip after nearly 14 years, and is made possible by a franchise agreement between Tropicana Las Vegas and Hilton. Tropicana Las Vegas will continue to own and operate the property.
Having recently undergone a $200 million transformation, the new 35-acre hotel features 1,600 guestrooms, four restaurants, a spa and fitness center, a beach and night club, and an entertainment complex. These are in addition to the hotel’s 50,000 square foot casino and more than 60,000 square feet of meeting and exhibition space. Dancing with the Stars: Live in Las Vegas, Laugh Factory, and the Mob Attraction Las Vegas will also take place at the hotel.
Starting in January, guests will be able to earn and redeem Hilton HHonors points and miles at the hotel.
