Renovated Millennium UN Plaza to Re-open as One UN New York
Millennium Hotels & Resorts announced that the Millennium UN Plaza will re-open as One UN New York on September 24. The property, located at One United Nations Plaza in New York City, will offer 154 newly renovated guest rooms and suites on the 29th to 40th floors of the buildings west tower.
One UN New York is the result of a $30 million, nine-month renovation of the Millennium UN Plaza, which originally opened in 1976. Guest rooms will offer floor to ceiling windows with views of the Manhattan skyline, as well as Nespresso machines, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, and Shanghai Tang toiletries. The 30th floor Skyline Club offers a personal concierge, continental breakfast, all day refreshments, as well as evening cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
The hotel also features an indoor swimming pool and 24-hour fitness room overlooking the East River, as well as an indoor tennis court on the 39th floor. A brand-new cafe is located in the lobby, while a new restaurant and bar will be part of the second phase of the three part overall renovation focusing on the lobby area, before the third and final phase will renovate guest rooms in the building’s east tower.
