Jumeirah Himalayas Opens First Talise Spa in China
The Jumeirah Himalayas Hotel Shanghai has opened the first Talise Spa in China. The signature spa concept from Jumeirah has personalized treatments that cater to individuals’ specific needs.
Located on the 7th floor adjacent to the hotel’s fitness center, which includes trained instructors and a 20-meter indoor pool, the Talise Spa is situated at the base of the Yu Cong Atrium, a 14-story feng shui passageway “linking heaven and earth.” The spa features three treatment suites: the Dubai Suite, the Shanghai Suite, and the Himalayas Suite, with elements inspired by each of the suites’ namesakes. Each unit contains private showers, whirlpool bathtubs, and steam rooms.
A wide range of facials are offered, including some that use high-tech marine products from French brand Phytomer, and spa treatments include “Impressions of the Himalayas,” and “Luxury Arabian Gold Bliss.” A licensed master therapist of traditional Chinese Medicine is available for pre-booked healing sessions, and all spa massages use 100% bio-organic essential oils.
The Relaxation Garden is visible from the Spa Lounge, where guests can sample traditional Chinese medicinal teas and tonics. Fresh juices, healthy smoothies, and high-nutrition snacks are also available on the Talise Spa’s menu.
To celebrate the opening, Talise Spa is offering a two hour and 15 minute treatment, that includes a 90 minute deep body massage with organic essential oil, self-heating sea mud for the back, and mini facial. The price of the special promotional package is 780 Yuan (ca. $124), as compared to the regular price of 1,350 Yuan (ca. $214), and is available until October 31, 2012.
