Westin Hotels to Open Puntacana Resort & Club in Dominican Republic

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide announced it will open The Westin Puntacana Resort, located within the Puntacana Resort & Club in the Dominican Republic in the winter of 2013. Construction on the resort complex will begin this summer.

The 204-room resort will offer 16 suites, a full-service spa, Westin Workout gym, facilities for meetings and weddings, outdoor pool, poolside grill, cigar bar, lobby bar, walking trails, and children’s club.

Guests at The Westin Puntacana will have access to the Puntacana Resort & Club’s facilities, which include three miles of white sand beaches, 45-holes of golf, nine restaurants, a Six Senses Spa, and a 1,500 acre ecological reserve. .

The nearest airport is the Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ). This is Westin’s first hotel in the country.
