JAL Takes Delivery of First Two Boeing 787 Dreamliners

Japan Airlines has received its first two Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners.  The airline took delivery of the new aircraft in Seattle on March 25, and the planes arrived at Tokyo Narita and Haneda airports on March 27.

Yoshiharu Ueki, president of JAL Group, received the keys to both aircraft from Jim Albaugh, CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, during a March 26 delivery ceremony in Seattle.

The new Boeing 787 Dreamliners will go into service starting April 22 on JAL’s new Tokyo – Boston route.
