New York Airports to Offer Free Wi-Fi to Travelers

Visitors at New York-area airports will soon have access to free Wi-Fi but it won’t be unlimited.
On Wednesday, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which manages the region’s three major airports, John F. Kennedy International, LaGuardia, and Newark Liberty International, said it had approved plans that will permit a free service to go ahead.

Air China announced Tuesday it will begin a trial of Ku-band satellite-based Internet services on one of its 777-200 aircraft later this year.
The onboard Wi-Fi service will support high-speed access for personal electronic devices including smartphones, tablets, and laptops and will also offer passengers a selection of stored content via Wi-Fi.
