Virgin America, China Airlines Begin New Codeshare Flights

Virgin America announced the launch of new codeshare flights in partnership with China Airlines.
Under the new agreement, China Airlines will now be able to place its code on Virgin America flights to Boston, Chicago, Dallas Love Field, Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, Newark, New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport, Seattle, and Washington Dulles, from both Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Virgin America Reports Rise in Traffic for September

Virgin America announced preliminary operational results for September 2014.
The San Francisco-based carrier’s total system traffic for the month was 765 million revenue passenger miles, or RPMs, a year-over-year increase of 1.8%, up from 751 million in September 2013.
Total system-wide capacity for the month was down, dropping 1.9% to 965 million available seat miles, or ASMs, from 986 million last year.

Virgin America announced the launch of new, non-stop flights from Dallas Love Field to San Francisco International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, and Washington Reagan National Airport.  The airline will operate thrice-daily flights on each of the new routes.

Virgin America announced it will launch two new seasonal routes this winter. The routes link New York with Fort Lauderdale, and Boston with Las Vegas.
Beginning December 18, and lasting through April 28, 2015, the carrier will offer daily, non-stop service from New York’s John F. Virgin America Reports Traffic Up in August

Virgin America announced operational results for August 2014.
The airline’s total traffic for the month was 940 million revenue passenger miles, or RPMs, a year-over-year increase of 2.9% from 913 million RPMs in August 2013.
Meanwhile, total capacity in August decreased by 1.2%, down to 1.098 billion available seat miles, or ASMs, from 1.110 billion ASMs in the same month last year.
