Virgin America announced plans on Tuesday to offer a significantly faster in-flight Wi-Fi experience than it currently offers.
The new service will utilize technology from ViaSat, the same company that provides JetBlue’s Fly-Fi service, and will be installed in ten new Airbus A320 planes that will be delivered starting in September.

Virgin America announced that it partnered with Dean and Deluca, a chain of upscale grocery stores, to offer a new collection of snacks in its first-class cabin. In addition, the carrier announced its new seasonal in-flight menu.

The city of Dallas filed suit against two federal agencies and six airlines in an effort to settle the question of which airlines can fly out of Love Field on Wednesday.  The airport, which has limited gate space, is valued for its proximity to central Dallas.

Virgin America announced it will begin new flights from Dallas Love Field to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport on April 28.  The carrier will operate the service five times a day.
