Alaska Airlines and Virgin America announced Wednesday the two would begin to offer new flights from their hub at San Francisco International Airport to various new destinations throughout the United States next summer.

Alaska Air Group became the nation’s fifth largest carrier following the closing of its acquisition of Virgin America Wednesday.

The U.S. Department of Justice approved Alaska Air Group’s acquisition of Virgin America on Tuesday, but put several conditions in place that require Alaska to prune its partnership with American Airlines.
