Airbus Tops Boeing for 2011

Despite a recording–breaking year, Boeing finished in second place behind European rival Airbus. 
With 477 deliveries of commercial airliners in 2011, Boeing booked orders for a net total of 805 new aircraft.  Although Airbus will not release 2011 figures until mid-January, it had delivered 477 aircraft by November 30 and had a total of 1,378 net orders for the first 11 months of the year.
