JetBlue, Singapore Airlines to Launch New Codeshare

JetBlue Airways and Singapore Airlines announced plans for a new codeshare agreement.  The two carriers filed an application with the Department of Justice for the proposed codeshare, which is pending government approval.
Under the agreement, Singapore Airlines will be allowed to place its code on JetBlue-operated flights to 16 U.S. destinations from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport, including Austin, Boston, Charlotte, Fort Lauderdale, Houston, New Orleans, Syracuse, and Tampa.

United to Launch New San Francisco-Tokyo Haneda Service

United Airlines announced it will begin new daily, non-stop service between San Francisco and Tokyo Haneda on October 26.  The service will operate using Boeing 777 aircraft.
Flights will depart San Francisco International Airport at 6:35 p.m. and arrive at Tokyo Haneda at 10:05 p.m. the next day.  Flights from Tokyo to San Francisco will depart at 12:05 a.m. and arrive at 5:15 p.m. the previous day.

BMW Expands DriveNow Program in San Francisco

BMW announced it is adding street parking in San Francisco for its car-sharing program, DriveNow. The company will add 80 electric BMW ActiveE vehicles to its fleet, which will be available on San Francisco streets and at 17 DriveNow locations in the Bay Area, including Palo Alto and both San Francisco and Oakland International Airport.

Delta Air Lines announced it has finished outfitting its BusinessElite cabins on all of its international widebody planes with fully lie-flat seats with direct-aisle access.
Aircraft in Delta’s fleet which offer the lie-flat seats include all of its Airbus A330-200, A330-300, Boeing 767-300ER, 767-400ER, 747, 777-200ER, and 777-200LR planes.

Virgin America announced it will add a second daily flight to its existing San Francisco, California-Austin, Texas, service beginning July 8.  The additional flight will operate through September 6, 2014.
Flights will depart Austin-Bergstrom International Airport at 9:20 a.m. and arrive at San Francisco International Airport at 11:05 a.m.  Flights from San Francisco to Austin will depart at 3:30 p.m. and arrive at 9:05 p.m.
