American Airlines and US Airways Launch Codeshare

American Airlines, which merged with US Airways last December, announced that the two airlines have implemented the first phase of their codeshare agreement between on Monday.
Phase one of the codeshare agreement covers select flights from both airlines in major markets.  Passengers can already book codeshare flights on both airlines for travel starting on January 23.

Marriott announced the opening of a combined Courtyard by Marriott and Residence Inn by Marriott property in Manhattan, New York City.  The 68-story property is the tallest hotel building in North America.
The Courtyard by Marriott Hotel is located on floors 6 through 33, and has 378 rooms.  Each room features a modern design and spacious bathroom.  The hotel’s restaurant, The Bistro, offers snacks, cocktails, wine, and beer.

Storm Causes JetBlue to Suspend Operations

In the wake of record-setting low temperatures and icy conditions, JetBlue has suspended operations at various Northeast airports.  Beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, the airline reduced operations at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport, LaGuardia, Newark, and Boston Logan.
Operations at these airports are scheduled to resume around 10:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.  The airline is expected to be 100% fully operational by 3:00 p.m.
