Lufthansa to Add Several Former Air Berlin Transatlantic Routes to Schedule Including Flights between U.S. and Berlin

Lufthansa announced that it plans to launch new long-haul service to the United States, taking over routes previously operated by Air Berlin as the bankrupt carrier is forced to discontinue many of its flights.
The carrier will start to offer flights linking Berlin with New York City on November 8. The service will be operated five times a week, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, using Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
