Singapore Airlines to Launch World’s Longest Flight – Singapore-New York – in October

Singapore Airlines said Wednesday it will begin to operate what will be the world’s longest flight starting October 11, Singapore-New York.
The flight from the city-state will cover 9000 nautical miles (16,700 kilometers).
The airline will use Airbus A350-900 Ultra Long Range aircraft for the flight, which will take almost 19 hours from Singapore to Newark Liberty International Airport.   The airline is the launch customer for the aircraft type.
