Sheraton New York Times Square Unveils Renovations to Meeting Space

Starwood announced the completion of a $2.2 million renovation at the Sheraton New York Times Square hotel in Manhattan. The hotel revamped some 11,000 square feet (5,574 square meters) of its lower level meeting space, including public spaces, the entry lounge, and 13 meeting rooms.
All areas received new carpet, lighting, and wall coverings. The meeting rooms now have high-tech boardroom tables that are pre-wired to meet computer and audio-visual requirements.

New York City Fares and Tolls to Increase Sunday, Subway or Bus Ride to Cost $2.75

Travelers as well as commuters who use buses, subways, tunnels, and commuter railroads in the New York metropolitan area will see the cost of a toll or fare increase on Sunday.

Starwood Capital Group announced the opening of the Baccarat Hotel and Residences New York.  The new property is the Baccarat crystal brand’s first hotel and features a 125-foot (38.1-meter) corrugated crystal-like curtain that veils its lower levels.

Philippine Airlines announced the start of service linking New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Manila.
The move comes after a 17-year hiatus in operations since the airline ended flights from Newark Liberty Airport in 1997.

Etihad Airways announced that it plans to deploy an Airbus A380, featuring the carrier’s Residence suite, on one of its two daily flights between Abu Dhabi and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.
