Please Come to the Show, Part II (1980 – Now) recently opened at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.  It features invitations and event flyers from the 1980s to the present day, and includes gallery openings, concerts, store liquidations, and marches on college campuses.   An earlier exhibit covered the period from 1960 through 1980.

New York Marriott Downtown Hotel Unveils Renovations to Lobby

The New York Marriott Downtown hotel in lower Manhattan has completed renovations to its lobby.  In addition, the hotel also completed a renovation of its street-level Starbucks.
The hotel’s lobby now has neutral tones set against dark wood, as well as soft grey carpeting with large red and blue accented swirls.  There are new intimate seating areas with high-backed leather chairs, and the copper-clad elevator bank is accented by starburst chandeliers.

JetBlue Reveals New Lie-Flat Seats for New York-based Transcon Routes

JetBlue announced details of its new lie-flat seats and premium cabin (the airline has thusfar not referred to the cabin as first class or business).  The seats will become available on the airline’s new Airbus A321 aircraft in the second quarter of next year, on the carrier’s New York-Los Angeles and New York-San Francisco routes.

American, LAN Colombia Launch Codeshare

American Airlines announced the beginning of a new codeshare agreement with LAN Colombia.  The agreement will provide American Airlines customers connecting service in Colombia, as well as offer LAN passengers access to new destinations in the U.S.
The two carriers will codeshare on flights between Colombia and the U.S., and allow American Airlines passengers access to four new destinations in Colombia: Barranquilla, Bucaramanga, Cartagena, and Pereira.  In addition, LAN passengers will …

JetBlue, South African Airways Announce Codeshare

JetBlue said it has entered into a codeshare agreement with South Africa Airways.  Under the agreement, JetBlue will be able to place its code on South African Airways flights between both New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Washington Dulles International Airport, and various destinations in Africa.
