Historic Waldorf Astoria to Close for Three-Year Renovation Project
The landmark Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York City will shut down for a three-year renovation next spring.
The work will include converting many of the hotel rooms into private condominium apartments, which will leave the property with some 300 to 500 guestrooms when it reopens approximately three years later. It currently has 1,413 rooms.

New Yorkers and visitors to the Big Apple suffering from nomophobia will no longer have to avoid the city’s buses. The New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority began rolling out its new blue-and-yellow Wi-Fi enabled buses on Tuesday.
