Air Canada Rouge Launches Toronto-London Gatwick Service

Air Canada rouge, a regional subsidiary of Air Canada, announced the launch of new seasonal service between Toronto and London Gatwick Airport.
The airline will operate the route through October 16. Air Canada rouge will offer six flights a week initially, with daily service between June 1 and September 26, and reduced service thereafter.

Icelandair Begins Service to Montreal

Icelandair announced the launch of new seasonal service between Keflavik International Airport in Reykjavik and Montreal’s Pierre Trudeau International Airport.
The carrier will operate the service four times a week, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, though November 8.
Montreal is Icelandair’s fifth Canadian gateway, and its 16th in North America.
Canadian destinations also include service to Halifax, Vancouver, Edmonton, and Toronto.

Alaska Airlines announced that it plans to add new service between San Diego and Sacramento, as well as Burbank and San Jose, California on march 16, 2017. Both routes will be operated three times a day by SkyWest Airlines, using Embraer E175 jets.

Hawaiian Airlines announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation approved its application to offer nighttime service from Kona, Hawaii to Tokyo’s Haneda Airport.
There was no competition from other airlines for the nighttime slot.
“Hawaiian, and Hawaiian alone, requested the nighttime slot pair, and the Department finds that prompt approval of Hawaiian’s request is consistent with the public interest,” the agency said in its order on Friday.

Hong Kong Airlines announced that it plans to launch new daily service to Auckland, New Zealand on November 10. The carrier will operate the service using Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
