Toronto Marriott Markham Hotel Opens in Canada

Marriott International announced the opening of the Toronto Marriott Markham Hotel on Tuesday.
The hotel, which offers 209 guestrooms, has its own art collection as well as a 192,000-square-foot (17,837-square-meter) conference center. It is located in downtown Markham near Main Street Unionville and the Pan Am Centre and is part of a downtown community project under development by Remington Developments.

W Hotels Publishes Series of LGBTQ Travel Guides

W Hotels, a part of Marriott International, announced plans to release multiple travel guides designed for LGBTQ travelers.
The first guide, for Mexico City, made its debut Thursday and is designed to familiarize travelers with cultural institutions, nightlife, and dining, as well as recommendations for getting around town.  It provides information on local queer-friendly neighborhoods such as Zona Rosa and Tabacalera in the city as well.

Marriott announced the opening of a new Element hotel in Dubai. The Element Me’aisam is the first of the brand’s properties to be located in the United Arab Emirates, as well as the first of its kind in the Middle East.
