American Airlines to Upgrade and Increase Presence at Los Angeles International Airport

American Airlines, the world’s largest carrier, announced Friday plans to expand its presence at Los Angeles International Airport and invest $1.6 billion in its terminals.
The airline signed a letter of intent Friday with Los Angeles World Airports, which operates LAX, in which American commits to making substantial improvements to Terminals 4 and 5 over the next 15 years.
