Delta Debuts New Terminal, Private Check-In Lounge, and Sky Club at LAX

In conjunction with the completion of Terminal 5 at Los Angeles International Airport, Delta Air Lines announced the opening of its first private check-in lounge.
The new lounge, christened Delta One at LAX, offers Delta One (formerly BusinessElite) passengers a dedicated entrance at the curb which leads to a private check-in lounge that includes a refreshment bar.  The lounge leads to a dedicated security checkpoint.

Low-cost Mexican airline Volaris announced the launch of new service between Los Angeles, California, and Leon, Mexico.  The carrier operates the service four times a week.
Flights depart Leon at 8:30 a.m. and arrive in Los Angeles at 10:00 a.m.  Flights from Los Angeles to Leon depart at 11:20 a.m. and arrive at 4:20 p.m.

American, Qantas Expand Joint Business Venture, Announce New Routes Between U.S. and Australia

American Airlines and Qantas Airways announced that the two airlines will expand their existing joint business venture with new flights between the United States and Australia come December.  The joint business venture allows the two carriers to jointly set fares and schedules for the new flights across the pacific.

United Airlines, Air China Increase Codesharing Routes

United Airlines announced that it expanded its existing codeshare agreement with Air China.
Under the expansion, United will be allowed to place its code on 10 domestic Air China-operated flights, including service from Beijing to Mianyang, Taiyuan, Sanya, Shanghai Hongqiao, Yinchuan, Xining, Liuzhou, Haikou, and Lanzhou, as well as service from Shanghai Pudong to Yinchuan.
