United Airlines announced it began new daily service between San Francisco and Taipei, Taiwan. In addition, the carrier added a second daily flight to its existing Houston-Tokyo service.

ANA Holdings Orders 70 New Boeing and Airbus Planes

ANA Holdings, the parent company of All Nippon Airways, announced that it has placed orders for 40 new Boeing aircraft and 30 new Airbus jets to be delivered between the years 2016 and 2027.  The order is valued at a total of 1700 billion yen, or $16.6 billion.

JetBlue Airways and Japan Airlines announced that the two airlines will expand their codeshare agreement beginning March 30.  After this date, Japan Airlines will be able to place its code on various JetBlue-operated flights within the United States.

Hong Kong Airlines Expands Service to Okinawa and Hangzhou

Hong Kong Airlines announced the launch of additional flights between Hong Kong and both Okinawa and Hangzhou.  The airline added one extra daily flight to its existing Hong Kong-Okinawa service, bringing the total to two daily flights, and one additional flight to its twice daily Hong Kong-Hangzhou service, bringing the number up to three flights a day.

Air China announced the launch of new thrice weekly Tianjin-Dalian-Osaka service.
Flights depart Tianjin at 9:05 a.m. and arrive in Dalian, China at 10:00 a.m. Flights then arrive in Osaka, Japan at 2:20 p.m.
