Boeing Grounds Some Dreamliners After Manufacturing Defect is Found

Boeing said it has grounded eight of its high-tech 787 Dreamliners after finding a manufacturing issue.  The wide-body airliner is one of the company’s most successful products, despite a highly publicized grounding of the fleet over a battery issue in 2013.
The eight planes will be inspected and repaired. The issue relates to how parts of the fuselage were joined together, the company said in a statement.

American Airlines would cancel some of its orders for Boeing 737 Max aircraft if it is unable to obtain financing, multiple sources said.
