A number of American Airlines flights were delayed Wednesday after an app used by pilots failed to function.

Virgin America announced that it has completed the upgrade of all of its aircraft to Gogo’s ATG-4 in-flight Internet service.
Gogo’s new ATG-4 service is significantly faster than the original ATG system.  ATG-4 supports three times the peak bandwidth to the aircraft, or 9.8 Mbps versus 3.1.
