Alaska Airlines will open up a flight attendant base in San Diego on April 1, 2013 to support increased flying.  The airline plans to operate 24 departures per day from San Diego during the summer.

Alaska Airlines Installs Power and USB Outlets for Passengers at Major Airports

Alaska Airlines is installing power outlets for passenger use at its major airports.  The outlets are part of the airline’s recent enhancements, which include in-flight Wi-Fi, an improved mobile website, and the airline’s new mobile app.
Alaska Airlines recently finished adding 200 additional outlets at its gates in Anchorage, Seattle, and Portland, Oregon.  Each outlet includes a 120-volt receptacle, and two USB ports.

Alaska Airlines announced that the inaugural flight of its first Boeing 737-900ER took place on November 8, 2012, between Seattle and San Diego. The new aircraft is the most fuel-efficient in the airline’s fleet.
